Road Trip - Week One
Mood:  not sure

Wow I guess I've been neglecting my blog for a little while, but here's all the news from my world for the past month (in summary, of course lol).... We finished moving everything into storage (finally) and ended up with storage units in two cities that are an hour and a half away, each with half of our stuff. My parents bought a new place in Red Deer, and it should be built by mid-October. I finished at B&R Eckels, after three long and eventful years, and now we're on the open road.

We've travelled over 1000 kilometers from Bonnyville so far, and have stayed at more hotels than I can count. The first night we stayed at a hotel in Red Deer, followed by a hotel in Lethbridge the next night that was comparable to Fort Knoxx lol... and the third night we stayed at a hotel here in Great Falls (Montana) where we picked up our new RV (see pics). It's actually quite a nice unit, and the campground we're staying at (Great Falls KOA) is very nice and quiet. On Monday morning we're planning on heading toward the Grand Canyon (Arizona), which will be about a 2 day trip (1200 miles) and we're staying in Idaho Falls (Idaho) overnight along the way. I haven't taken nearly as many pictures as I'd like so far, but I'm hoping to make up for that when we get to the Grand Canyon.

One thing that has been pretty valuable during our trip (so far) is WiFi internet and I hope that most of the places we stay at have it because is it ever amazing! Just thought I'd mention that lol.... Anyways that's about it for now from me.... take care everyone, and for all of you back home in Canada celebrating the Heritage Day long weekend, stay safe and PLEASE don't drink & drive..... Later, M

Moving....
Mood:  not sure
Well moving day is near... I've got mixed emotions, but something has dawned on me today that I want to share. When we moved to Bonnyville 3 years ago, I left behind a town that I had lived in for most of my life. I thought of the move as packing my entire life into a truck.... but I realize now that my whole life wasn't in the moving truck, just material possesions.... and life isn't about how much material or money you have, it's about finding that one true person that makes you happy with life.... and happy with yourself. I found that person... and it took her to teach me that life isn't about objects.... it's about finding eternal love and doing anything it takes to hold onto it.

Some people learn this lesson young, some later on in life, and some never learn it at all. And learning it young people call "puppy love" or "infatuation".... I call her Sarah

I miss you - M

A Perfect Grad.....
Mood:  happy

Yesterday was an amazing day... grad couldn't have gone any better. The ceremonies at the school were awesome, and the dinner and dance was quite elegant... it was a once in a lifetime experience. I got to share the moment with the most amazing and beautiful girl ever, my girlfriend Sarah.... and with my parents and grandparents.

Sarah flew home this morning.... I miss her so much already. The saying "you don't know what you've got till' it's gone" is an understatement, but I feel better knowing that Sarah isn't gone from my life, it's just that we won't be able to see each other everyday.... but I love her more that anything in the world, and we're going to be just fine right babe? :-)

Today is also Canada day, so I'm going to watch the fireworks tonight with some friends. It also marks a month till' we start our road trip :-) It's gonna' be great!

Other than that, everyone take care and be sure to leave comments on here! - M

Mood:  bright

Well here we are.... officially 4 days from grad... the end of a 12-year chapter of my life, and the beginning of many new horizons. I always thought that I'd look forward to graduating, but another event in my life, that's occuring this week, has me scared as it creeps closer. The girl of my dreams is moving back home, so on the horizon is what I hope and wish is a successful long-distance relationship. We've got the willpower to make this work, but naturally it's going to be tough not being around each other at least once a day. But we're going to be just fine :-) I love you Sarah!

Another new horizon is the adventure I'm about to take part in. My parents and I are embarking on a road trip in the USA.... no plans, nowhere in particular to go, just the way an adventure is supposed to be. Just us, our camper, and of course my dog Sparky.... and of course I'm going to miss Alberta, and of course my girlfriend Sarah while we're gone, but this blog is my way of staying connected. I'll try to update it as much as possible... we may not have internet access everywhere we go, but I'll try my best to keep you all up to date.

So here's to the BCHS Graduating Class of 2006... I wish you all the best... and most importantly, here's to new horizons........ M
